Scene of the world's worst nuclear accident on April 26, 1986, Chernobyl Nuclear Power Plant and the nearby city of Pripyat in Ukraine were contaminated by a cloud of radioactive dust that covered the surrounding countryside after an explosion in reactor number 4. 25 years on, the abandoned zone of exclusion is still there. This gallery documents a journey through the zone right up to the reactor itself.
